The Making Of

A Side Exploration

This section answers common questions about the creation and design of this website, a project distinct from my FileMaker work.

As noted on the About page, my career spans multiple chapters and disciplines: two-thirds dedicated to running an interactive new media studio and one-third focused on database development. I crafted this website’s content using the following tools:

  • Webflow: For building and structuring the site.
  • After Effects (with third-party plugins/scripts): For dynamic animations.
  • Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer: For image editing and vector design.
  • Rive: For interactions and animations.
  • Cinema 4D (C4D) and Blender: For 3D modeling, rendering and animation.

Currently, a few blog images are AI-generated, but the majority of the site’s assets are the result of my hands-on work. While I increasingly incorporate AI tools, I often find they fall short of capturing the precise meaning and aesthetic I aim for, making ‘traditional’ creation methods more effective. Plus, I very much enjoy the design process.

Below are screenshots offering a glimpse behind the scenes, showcasing the process of designing various site assets.
