Welcome! My name’s Craig Wall, but please just call me ‘C’. ‘Wall’ works equally well. This little studio is all about delivering the CWall Plus Factor to FileMaker projects.
What’s the Plus? It’s 15 years of FileMaker expertise blended with skills and insights from broader tech endeavors. Think of it as a multiplier that elevates every collaboration.
From California to Texas and Beyond
The journey began in the ‘90s, post-UCLA, with a move to Texas. There I launched two businesses. Mentor Max trained over 1,200 people in databases, graphic design, and interactive software. Then came Access2 Media, crafting interactive media and videos for top-tier companies.
Mentor Max: Building a Foundation
Mentor Max days revolved around teaching a wide range of apps. I was certified as both an Adobe and FileMaker trainer. Each app mastered paved the way for the next, and the teaching time was a joy.
Standout moments include leading FileMaker training at NASA’s Houston facility and FileMaker consultation for the Superconducting Super Collider team.
A side note: The SSC’s funding was cut, halting its potential as a global particle physics leader. That crown later went to CERN in Europe—a reminder of life’s unpredictability.
Access2 Media: Creating Impact
Leading a modest staff and occasional freelancers, notable projects included:
Presentation media for Radio Disney’s debut, earning praise from ABC/Disney leadership.
The Kitchen of the Future trade show exhibit for Texas Instruments.
A retail kiosk for HP printers and ink.
Ericsson’s Voyage to 3G trade show media, used for three years.
Multiple trade show presentations for Fujitsu.
Later, under Ice Cave Technology in Alaska:
Produced Alaska’s first HD TV commercial, aired during the Super Bowl.
Designed an interactive presentation for the Student Learning Progress Model, a new academic metric led by UAA and 12 colleges.
Designed Water Quality 101 for the Canadian Government.
The last decade has been dedicated to FileMaker development, channeling diverse experience into solutions that are functional and effective.
About Me
Born abroad, life started with a whirlwind—travel to nine countries before age one. Perhaps this explains my gypsy ways. I’ve lived in six U.S. states. Outside of work, passions include NFL and MLB, sports analytics, design, 3D, animation, biographies, and sci-fi flicks.
